Life Goes On

I guess I'm going to be updating this blog yearly at least! I have come to realize how important it is to stay close to family and friends this week. Our son, Robert, has struggled so much with health issues through his whole life. His life has been so fragile and is more fragile right now than ever before. He has managed to beat three serious infections and is still with us. Through his life the one thing that I have realized more than anything else is that we have a Heavenly Father who is mindful of each of us personally. Sometimes he doesn't spare us from suffering and anguish because He knows that we will learn and grow through our experiences.

Life is too short to be bitter, angry, depressed, or saying "why me". I have done all of those things at least once, and it doesn't solve the problem at hand, it just creates new ones.
I am grateful for Robert's life and his powerful spirit that has been with our family these past 22 years. I don't know how much longer he will be with us, but I do know, I will cherish every day I still have him.
